Not always. Some partial and even complete ACL tears can be managed conservatively depending on your goals, activity level, and knee stability. We evaluate your specific case and help determine whether non-surgical rehab is appropriate or if post-operative rehab is the best path forward.
While every case is different, structured ACL rehab typically follows a 12-week progression with clearly defined phases. Return to sport often requires additional strength and performance testing to ensure your knee is truly ready — not just pain-free.
Return-to-sport timelines vary, but clearance should be based on objective strength testing, neuromuscular control, and functional performance — not just time since surgery. Our program includes sport-specific testing to reduce re-injury risk and ensure confidence.
We combine one-on-one expert guidance, progressive strength training, neuromuscular re-education, and structured return-to-play testing. Our approach is phase-based, data-driven, and designed to rebuild strength and stability beyond baseline.
Returning too quickly without restoring full strength, control, and symmetry increases the risk of re-injury — including tearing the ACL again. Proper progression and testing are critical to long-term success.
