Personal Training in Manhattan
Small Group or 1:1 Personal Training
In our small group personal training, sessions are kept to 4 to 6 people. Even so, the program is yours alone, written for your goals, your current strength and the way you move, and your workout is shown on an iPad that tracks your numbers as you go.
Prefer full attention? We also offer private one-on-one personal training, and hybrid 1:1 coaching that pairs sessions in our gym with online programming in the PhysioRX app. Our gym is never crowded, so you have the space and focus to train properly. Depending on your plan, you can come in 1 to 4 times a week, and app access is always included.
What Personal Training at PhysioRX Includes
Whichever way you train, you get a structured system rather than random workouts:
- Body composition tracking on an InBody scale
- Strength and conditioning, progressive resistance training, and cardio and endurance work
- Mobility, core stability and balance training
- Remote coaching through the PhysioRX app, with progress tracking and direct messaging
- Nutrition Made Simple, our nutrition forum in the app, with one-on-one nutrition coaching as an add-on
If your goal is fat loss, muscle gain or a change in body composition, guidance on how much to eat, the balance of protein, carbs and fats, and habits you can keep is part of the system and tracked in the app.
Training Safely After an Injury
Coming out of physical therapy, or nervous about an old injury? Our coaches know how bodies move and adapt every exercise to your mobility, strength and injury history. Some of our coaches are also Doctors of Physical Therapy, and a physical therapist on our team is available if an issue comes up.
With weekday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., sessions can fit around a full Manhattan workday.

Personal Training FAQs
Where is your personal training gym in Manhattan?
Our private gym is at 58A W 15th St, New York, NY 10011, in the Flatiron District near Union Square. From the East Side, the 4, 5 and 6 trains run to 14 St-Union Square, a short walk away.
What makes small group training different from a gym class?
A class puts everyone on one workout. Our groups are 4 to 6 people, and each person works through their own program while a coach watches form.
Can I train one-on-one in Manhattan instead of in a group?
Yes. Alongside small group training, we offer private 1:1 personal training and hybrid 1:1 coaching that combines gym sessions with the PhysioRX app.
How often can I train?
Depending on your plan, you can train in person 1 to 4 times a week, with your program in the PhysioRX app on the other days. Your coach helps you pick what fits your goals and schedule.
Is nutrition help included?
Yes. All clients can use Nutrition Made Simple, a forum in the PhysioRX app where our in-house nutritionist answers questions. Private nutrition coaching can be added.
